History
The original website was developed by Mr. Azul, who compiled Prof. Dr. Jamal Badi’s notes into
the pages that became this site.
This website was launched on 29 November 2001 (13 Ramadhan 1422), hosted by the Kulliyyah of
ICT (KICT), IIUM, at its original address, fortyhadith.iiu.edu.my. That domain and server are
no longer active; the site disappeared from it around 2011. A snapshot of how it looked in
2003 is preserved on the Wayback Machine.
The present domain, www.fortyhadith.net, was set up in 2021, and this is where the site has
been hosted since.

Consider Prof. Dr. Jamal Badi’s book, Commentary on the Forty Hadith of Imam Al-Nawawi: Timeless Prophetic Gems of Guidance and Wisdom — also available from Darussalam. Published some years after this website was first written, it offers a considerably more in-depth treatment than these pages, which began as summarised notes from his teaching sessions at the IIUM mosque.
